Stoddard activated, Kozak recalled

Southaven --- The Memphis RiverKings announced on Thursday that the Central Hockey League team has activated forward Darrell Stoddard from leave and that forward Rick Kozak has been recalled by the New York Rangers (NHL).
Stoddard had been on CHL leave for family reasons since January 3. Stoddard had eight goals and nine assists in 28 games prior to being granted leave. The second year pro missed five games.
Kozak leaves the RiverKings after scoring 14 goals and collecting 6 assists in his 18 games since being assigned to Memphis by the Rangers from Hartford (AHL) on November 30.
The RiverKings return from the all-star break with two home games versus the Odessa Jackalopes this weekend. The RiverKings will bring their 24-6-3 record and a seven game winning streak into the weekend. Friday's game is 7:05 with the first 1,500 fans getting a RiverKings drawstring backpack. Saturday's game is a special 2 p.m. start the first 1,000 fans 12 and younger will take home a Memphis Wings youth jersey. The team will also be wearing Memphis Wings retro jerseys that will be auctioned for charity after the game. Both games will be followed by a post game skate.
