Tri-City Storm News Release
KEARNEY - The Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League announced late Thursday that defenseman Tommy Mannino has been added to the team's roster. Mannino is expected to be in Kearney for a pair of weekend home games against Chicago.
Mannino, who is a cousin of former Storm goaltender Peter Mannino (2003-04), comes to the Storm from the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League. He is a former first round draft pick into the OHL.
"He is an offensive defenseman that has a lot of experience," said Storm head coach and general manager, Bliss Littler.
Mannino, who will wear number 22 for the Storm, played in 21 games this year for Saginaw. He recorded four assists and 20 penalty minutes in those games.
