Silvertips Take a Break and Get Ready for Portland Saturday

The Everett Silvertips will have a few days to prepare for their next game on Saturday night in Portland, Oregon when they battle the Portland Winter Hawks. The hockey club will play two games this weekend starting in Portland on Saturday and Chilliwack on Sunday in Chilliwack, BC. Saturday night will be the third meeting of the season between the Silvertips and the Winter Hawks. Game time is set for 7:30 pm from Memorial Coliseum in Portland. On Sunday night the Silvertips will travel to Chilliwack, BC to face off against the Chilliwack Bruins in their third meeting of the season. Game time from Prospera Centre is set for 5:00 p.m. Both games can be heard on North Sound 1380 ESPN Radio and on www.everettsilvertips.com. The Silvertips enter the weekend with a 21-2-0-1 (43 points) record and first place in the US Division.

SILVERTIPS LEADING SCORERS

The Silvertips are led in scoring by Peter Mueller (7 goals, 30 assists) with 37 points. Zach Hamill (12 goals, 19 assists) is 2nd on the hockey club in scoring with 31 points while first year forward Kyle Beach (13 goals, 12 assists) is 3rd on the team in scoring with 25 points. Mueller currently leads the Silvertips in assists (29) while Beach and Moises Gutierrez lead the team in goals scored (13). Silvertips defenseman, Graham Potuer leads the hockey club in +/- with a +12. In goal, Leland Irving has posted 16 wins, 1.46 GAA, 94.0% SP and 5 Shutouts. David Reekie is currently 5-0 with the Silvertips and has posted a 1.38 GAA, 94.0% SP with Everett this season.

EVERETT SILVERTIPS AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS

Silvertips forward Peter Mueller (7 goals, 30 assists) is currently 4th in the WHL in scoring with 37 points. Mueller is also tied for 1st in the WHL in assists (30). Zach Hamill (12 goals, 19 assists) is currently tied for 9th in the WHL in scoring with 31 points. First year forward Kyle Beach (13 goals, 12 assists) is 5th in the WHL in rookie scoring with 25 points and is the leading scorer among all 16 year olds in the WHL. Defenseman Jason Fransoo (5 goals, 18 assists) is tied for 8th among all WHL defensemen in scoring with 23 points. In goal, Leland Irving is leading all WHL netminders in GAA (1.46), SP (94.0%), Shutouts (5) and tied for 1st in Wins (16). David Reekie is currently 5th in the WHL in GAA (2.21).

SILVERTIPS SPECIAL TEAMS

The Everett Silvertips are currently 1st in the WHL on the power play (49 for 209, 23.4%) and 1st in the WHL on the penalty kill (166 for 183, 90.7%).

SILVERITPS HOME AND ROAD RECORDS

This season the Silvertips are 12-0-0-1 on home ice at the Everett Events Center and 9-2 on the road. The Silvertips currently have won 10 games in a row at home which is a franchise record.

VERSUS THE PORTLAND WINTER HAWKS

Saturday night will be the third of ten meetings between the two US Division rivals. Everett is currently 2-0 against the Hawks this season and 1-0 against Portland at Memorial Coliseum. The Silvertips lead the all time season series against the Winter Hawks with a 21-9-2 (SOL)-4 (Tie) record. Everett is also 10-4-1 (SOL)-3 (Tie) all time against the Winter Hawks in Portland, OR. In their last meeting on October 21, the Silvertips defeated the Winter Hawks 4-2 at Memorial Coliseum in Portland. VERSUS THE CHILLIWACK BRUINS

Sunday night will be the third of six meetings between the two Western Conference foes. The Silvertips are currently 2-0 against the Bruins this season and 1-0 against Chilliwack at Prospera Centre in Chilliwack, BC. SILVERTIPS VERSUS THE US DIVISION

This season the Silvertips are 7-2-0-1 against the US Division. Everett is 6-0-0-1 against the US Division at the Everett Events Center and 1-2 on the road against US Division foes.

SILVERTIPS VERSUS THE BC DIVISION

The Silvertips are 7-0 against BC Division teams this season. Everett is 5-0 against the BC Division at home and 2-0 against the BC Division on the road.

EVERETT TRIO READY TO SUIT UP FOR TEAM WHL

Everett Silvertips goaltender Leland Irving, defenseman Taylor Ellington and forward Zach Hamill will represent the Silvertips for Team WHL at the ADT Canada/Russia Challenge on Wednesday and Thursday night. Team WHL will face off against the Russian Selects on Wednesday night in Chilliwack, BC and Thursday night in Kamloops, BC. Both games start at 7:00 p.m.

MUELLER BREAKS FRANCHISE RECORD

After the game last Saturday night in the 5-3 win over Tri-City, Silvertips forward Peter Mueller was awarded a 5th assist in the victory. Mueller's 5 assists in one game is the most assists recorded in a single game in Silvertips franchise history.

HAMILL CLOSING IN ON WHEAT FOR ALL TIME LEADING SCORER IN TEAM HISTORY

Silvertips forward Zach Hamill is now one point behind former Everett forward Torrie Wheat as the all time leading scorer in Silvertips franchise history. Hamill has tallied 41 goals and 84 assists for 125 points in his Silvertips career. Wheat posted 126 points in his career with Everett.

Keith Gerhart will begin his 4th season behind the microphone as the voice of the Silvertips. New color analyst Al Kinisky will join Gerhart for all Silvertips home games and selected road games. Fans can also listen to Silvertips hockey via the internet on everettsilvertips.com and listen inside the Everett Events Center on 107.3 FM. The Everett Silvertips post game show and After the Game Show will take place at the Ice Box inside the Everett Events Center after all home games. A Silvertips player will join Keith and the crew during the broadcast.

Catch an all new season of Everett Silvertips Rinkside on Everett Channel 21 all season long. The show will air daily at 4:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The show will also air during the evening at 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. every night on Channel 21.
