ON THE LINE: The Buffalo Bisons will be playing for their post-season lives tonight. A win by Rochester tonight would officially eliminate the Herd from the 2006 International League playoff chase.

CUP CHAMPS: The Bisons have clinched the 2006 Thruway Series Cup. Buffalo is 19-10 against Rochester (15-14) and Syracuse (11-21) so far this season. Since it's inception in 1998, the Herd has won the championship five times with victories in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2004 prior to this year.

WINNER AGAIN: Last night's win clinched a winning record for the Bisons in 2006. The Herd has yet to have a losing record since becoming the Cleveland Indians affiliate in 1995 (11 seasons prior to 2006: 908-673).

HOME SWEET HOME: The Bisons enter their final home game with a 43-28 record at Dunn Tire Park. That's the third best home record in the International League behind only Scranton/WB (47-24) and Toledo (44-26). As a team, Buffalo has hit 22 points better at home (.269 - .247) with 105 more runs scored in only four more games.

HITTING AND PITCHING: The Buffalo Bisons enter today's game with the third lowest ERA in the International League at 3.41. The Herd has also scored the third most in the league with 631 runs in 138 games (4.6/game).

HIT STREAK: Jason Dubois enters today with a 15-game hit streak where he has averaged .339 (19-56). On the year, Dubois leads the team with 21 home runs and 83RBI, and his .276 batting average is closing in on Franklin Gutierrez (.281). He would be only the third Bisons player in the Modern Era to take the team's Triple Crown (Russ Morman 1993, Benny Distefano 1988).
