
K-Wings to Make Two Appearances at the Big League Softball World Series

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the United Hockey League and 2005-06 Central Division, Tarry Cup and Colonial Cup Champions, announce that the team will be making two appearances at the Big League Softball World Series.
Forward Tyler Willis will be trading in his skates for cleats tomorrow Friday, August 18th, as he throws out the first pitch at the 2 p.m. match-up between Canada and the Philippines. The game will be played at Lee Field, which is located at the softball fields at the Milwood Elementary School.
On Saturday, the K-Wings will be back on the Milwood Softball diamond at 11 a.m., as Kalamazoo's favorite mascot Slappy will be a participant during the Big League Softball World Series Parade.
Slappy's appearance during the parade will be one of three chances on Saturday for K-Wings fans to see their favorite mascot.
Before the parade from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Slappy will pay a visit to the MCR Industries Family Fest located at 1310 Bank Street in Kalamazoo.
After the parade from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Slappy will hop into the Harold Ziegler K-Wings Karavan and head to the Celery Flats Annual Family Fest. Slappy will be accompanied by both the Colonial and Tarry Cups.
