Generals announce 2006-07 schedule

Oshawa -The Oshawa Generals are pleased to announce the release of their official 2006-2007 regular season schedule.
Oshawa will commence play of their 68 game regular season schedule (34 home and 34 away) starting on Friday, September 22, 2006 vs. the Toronto St. Michael's Majors at St. Michael's College Arena.
The teams' first home game will be played on Friday, October 6, 2006 when they face the Barrie Colts at the Oshawa Civic Auditorium. This will mark the 43rd and final home opener at the Oshawa Civic Auditorium dating back to December of 1964 when the building officially opened. The anticipated last home game at the Oshawa Civic Auditorium will be played on Sunday, October 29 when the Generals play the Kingston Frontenacs.
It is anticipated that the Generals will play their first game in the New Oshawa Sports and Entertainment Facility on Friday, November 3, 2006 when they host the Owen Sound Attack. The New Oshawa Sports and Entertainment Facility will be a 5,400 seat, state-of-the-art facility with roomier seats, spacious concourses and concession stands with a enhanced selection of food and beverages. The new facility also includes a 4-sided video scoreboard as well as a 2 level full service restaurant.
In total, the Generals will play 19 Sunday home games, 10 Friday home games, 2 Thursday home games, 1 Saturday home game, 1 Monday home game (New Years Day) and 1 Wednesday home game (March Break).
Season tickets are now on sale at the Oshawa Civic Auditorium. Prices start as low as $345.00 including taxes for the 37 game package. The Oshawa Civic Auditorium Box is open Monday and Tuesday 10:00 AM until 4:30 PM, Wednesday to Friday 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM and Saturday, 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
