Two more Bees, broadcaster added to All-Star lineup

Defenseman Jeff Mushaluk and goalie Evan Lindsay will join starting forward Daymen Bencharski as Killer Bee representatives at the All Star Game.

The CHL also announced that Killer Bees broadcaster Rich Bocchini will be part of the All Star Broadcast Team along with Laredo's Joe Dominey and Bossier-Shreveport's Steve Mears. The radio broadcast will be carried live on ESPN 1240. TV broadcast details are pending.

Mushaluk, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound native of Armstrong, British Columbia, is a rookie defenseman out of the University of Maine. He was co-captain of the Black Bears during the 2004-05 season, and helped the club reach the 2004 NCAA Frozen Four. In 28 games for the Killer Bees, he has 17 points (3-14-17) and 30 PIM. All three of his goals have come via the power play. He posted a season-high goal and three assists (1-3-4) on Dec. 3 vs. Austin and had points in five of six games (1-4-5) from Dec. 3-23.

Lindsay has backboned the Killer Bees in goal this season, appearing in 20 of the team's 28 games so far. He has a 12-7-1 record to go along with a 2.92 GAA and .908 save percentage. His 12 wins are tied for third in the CHL as of Jan. 3 while his 2.92 GAA is tied for eighth overall. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Calgary native won a championship with the Dundee Stars (British National League) last season and is in his sixth pro campaign.

Bocchini joined the Killer Bees last summer after working in the broadcast booth for the former Worcester IceCats (AHL) the last three seasons. He also called the action for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL) and Knoxville Speed (UHL), where he worked with Southern Conference Head Coach Terry Ruskowski.

The 2006 Obra Homes Central Hockey League All Star Game takes place Wednesday, January 18 at Dodge Arena. The All Star Skills Competition kicks off the event at 6 p.m., with the game to follow at 7:30 p.m. One lucky fan will have the chance to shoot on the ice to win a new home at the game by signing up at this Friday and Saturday's Killer Bee games.
