
King Invited to New Jersey Devils Rookie Camp

Everett, WA - August 16th, 2005: Everett Silvertips defenseman Randy King has been invited by the New Jersey Devils to take part in their rookie training camp on September 7th.
King joined the Silvertips in November of last season and appeared in 31 regular season games and 9 playoff contests. The Salt Lake City, Utah native tallied 2 goals during the regular season and led the Silvertips in plus/minus with a +3. King also posted a +4 rating during the regular season. Overall the Silvertips currently have two players attending NHL camps. Recently defenseman Shaun Heshka was invited to the Calgary Flames main training camp.
"It is great to see another player get an opportunity to tryout at the NHL level through his development in our program," mentions Silvertips Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach, Kevin Constantine.
The Silvertips will begin their 3rd WHL season on Saturday, September 24th in Kamloops and will hold their home opener at the Everett Events Center on Saturday, October 1st against the Prince George Cougars.
