A pair of wingers, Daniel Sparre and Rane Carnegie, share the Halifax Mooseheads' Player of the Month Award for November.

Sparre, in 10 November games, totaled 13 points, from eight goals and five assists while playing at plus six for the month. During the Mooseheads' recent four-game winning streak, Sparre contributed six goals and one assist, including a hat trick in the Mooseheads' 4-3 victory at Rouyn-Noranda Sunday, and two goals and one assist in the 6-3 win at Gatineau Nov. 26. He was named the first star in both games and also picked up second-star honors twice in the month.

Carnegie, who also played in all 10 of the Mooseheads' games in November, recorded seven goals and three assists during the month, with a plus nine rating. He was also named the game's first star twice during the Mooseheads' four-game winning streak, with a three-goal performance in the Mooseheads' 6-3 home-ice win over Quebec Nov. 21 and one goal and two assists in the 5-4 win at Val-d'Or last Saturday night. He also had a goal and an assist in the win at Gatineau as the Mooseheads picked up three wins in three days on their weekend road trip.

The 20-year-old Sparre, acquired last Dec. 24 in a trade with Victoriaville, leads the Mooseheads in scoring with 17 goals, 12 assists and a plus 8 rating in 27 games.

Carnegie, who joined the Mooseheads Sept. 23 after moving to Dartmouth from Ontario, where he played three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, is third in team scoring, with 10 goals, 13 assists and leads the team with a plus 17 rating in 25 games.

Mooseheads' Head Coach Shawn MacKenzie presented the award to Sparre and Carnegie at the team's monthly Player of the Month Luncheon, held at the Brightwood Golf and Country Club today (Dec. 1, 2004).
