First baseman Eric Crozier extended his hitting streak to eight games today, as the Bisons topped the Toledo Mud Hens (Detroit Tigers) 10-1 at Winter Haven, FL. The Herd is now 6-1-1 on the spring.
CF Mark Little homered for the Herd and DH Brent Abernathy, C Vic Valencia, SS Jhonny Peralta and LF Tyler Minges each doubled in the win. Little, RF Stubby Clapp and Valencia each had 2 RBIs for the Bisons. Crozier was 1-5 to extend his Spring Training hitting streak to 8 games. Ten different Bisons had hits for the Bisons.
On the mound, Kyle Denney started for the Bisons and allowed just one run and struck out 5 in 6 IP. Kazuhito Tadano earned the save with 3 IP of shutout relief.
The Bisons will head to Lakeland, Fl on Monday where they'll play the Mud Hens at 1:05 PM.
