Mark Matthews on MLL, the NLL and Covid-19

October 8, 2020 - Mark Matthews celebrated his ninth Major League Lacrosse (MLL) season this year with the Philadelphia Barrage as the Pennsylvania team made its return to the league after an 11 year hiatus. Matthews, who stands 6'5'' and 230 pounds, began playing lacrosse when he was three. The then much smaller defenseman ultimately made the choice to focus on lacrosse around ninth grade. February 21, 2020 - Philadelphia, PA - Today the Philadelphia Barrage announced their first trade. In a step towards establishing the culture Head Coach, Spencer Ford, outlined in the 2020 protected roster release, the Barrage have traded Bryan Cole and Randy Staats for LSM, P.T. Ricci and three draft picks in the 2020 MLL Collegiate Draft. The Philadelphia Barrage Are Back

February 17, 2020 - Philadelphia, PA - Major League Lacrosse Commissioner, Alexander Brown, announced today that the Philadelphia Barrage are back. The team will operate under Mark Burdett, and Spencer Ford will make his head coaching debut for the Barrage. The Barrage moved from Bridgeport to Philadelphia for the 2004 MLL season.
