September 22, 2024 - With the third overall pick of the 2024 Major League Rugby Collegiate Draft, the Miami Sharks selected Calvin Ihrig from Lindenwood University.
The back-row forward was selected after impressing in MLR Rising and with his collegiate team over the past five years.

August 15, 2024 - After helping the Dallas Jackals make their debut Major League Rugby Playoffs appearance, Jero Gomez Vara has been named 2024's Forward of the Year.
A leading light for Agustin Cavalieri's team all season, Gomez Vara was perhaps the most important cog for the Texas club.
Whether it was his abilities as a player or leader, the Argentine was one of the first names on the teamsheet when it came to game selection.

July 28, 2024 - The Seattle Seawolves scored a try in the 78th minute Sunday and eliminated the Jackals from the Major League Rugby playoffs, 28-25.
It was a close match all the way, which is nothing new for the Jackals. Twelve of their regular season matches were decided by 7 points or less. They have been in every game, highlighted by last week's 34-22 victory over No. 1 seed Houston in the opening round of the playoffs.

July 20, 2024 - The Jackals, a team nobody wanted to face in the first round of the playoffs, showed why Saturday evening with a stunning 34-22 victory over the top-seeded Houston SaberCats on their home pitch
The match wasn't clinched until the 76th minute when the Jackals turned an errant SaberCat pass into a kick-and-chase. Scrum half Juan-Dee Oliver raced past three SaberCats to collect the ball and sprint the final few meters for the try.
