INDIANAPOLIS, IN-- The Indianapolis Ice announced today that goaltender Brent Zelenewich (zih-LEN-ah-WHICH) was selected as this week's Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week.

Zelenewich, 24, made his first professional win a memorable one as he did it in blanking fashion, by posting a 27-save shutout in last Saturday's 1-0 overtime win over the Odessa Jackalopes.

The first-year netminder out of St. Mary's University in Nova Scotia (Canada) has given up just two goals in his two starts and enters this week's action with a miniscule 0.94 goals-against-average and a stellar .962 save percentage.

Zelenewich and the Ice have three home games this week starting with Wednesday's 11:30 a.m. soiree with the Oklahoma City Blazers from the Pepsi Coliseum. Following Wednesday's contest, the two-time CHL Champion Memphis RiverKings invade the "Circle City" for 7:00 p.m. games on Friday and Saturday night at the Pepsi Coliseum.

Tickets for this weeks' games can be purchased at all Ticketmaster locations including select Marsh Supermarkets, Karma Records, select L.S. Ayres and the Indiana State Fairground and Conseco Fieldhouse box offices, or by calling 239-5151 or online at ticketmaster.com.
