DALLAS - On Nov. 2, 2003, the Kings hauled 75 select season ticket holders to the Stars game against the Nashville Predators. For just $79, the season ticket holders received a bus ride to and from the game (lunch included), ticket, hot dog, large soda and tons of fun. In addition to the game, Daryl Reaugh, Stars Color Commentator, spoke to the attendees after the game.

The fans enjoyed the Stars beating the Predators 7-2 on home ice. They also witnessed a hat-trick by Bill Guerin, a pretty Mike Modano goal, a Gordie Howe hat-trick by Brendan Morrow and several fights.

"We are extremely excited to partner with the Lubbock Cotton Kings on this trip," said Geoff Moore, Dallas Stars Executive Vice President of Business Operations. "This is our first regional project with minor league hockey and we want to strengthen our relationship with Central Hockey League and other minor league teams in the region."

Moore's goal is to create a connection with the teams in the region - making Dallas the hub of hockey in the Southwest. Moore also envisions a "Central Hockey League Night" at a Stars game and a coordinated effort to improve youth hockey.

"We commend and congratulate Matt Marshall and the Cotton Kings staff for finalizing this great partnership with the Dallas Stars," said CHL President Brad Treliving. "This is added value for the Cotton Kings' most loyal customers - their season ticket holders."
