Kenai River Brown Bears News Release
The Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Zach Krajnik has committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey for the University of Alaska-Anchorage in the WCHA.
Krajnik, 20, is in his final season of playing junior hockey in the NAHL, which has been spent entirely with the Brown Bears organization. So far during the 2019-20 season, the 5'11/180 lbs. native of Eagle River, Alaska, has three assists in the Brown Bears first four games as they put together a 2-0-2 record at the NAHL Showcase.
Overall, Krajnik has appeared in 109 career regular season games with Kenai River since the 2017-18 season. He has recorded 82 career points (25 goals, 57 assists) in those 109 games.
"We are excited for Zach to continue his hockey career and education at Alaska-Anchorage. Being from Eagle River, Alaska, Zach takes a lot of pride in representing a school so close to home. He is a very talented forward and a high character person. We are excited to continue watching him develop with us this season, as well as watching him excel at the next level," said Brown Bears Associate Head Coach Dan Bogdan.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Krajnik played youth hockey for the Iowa Wild AAA organization and Chuiak High School in Alaska.
I'm very honored and excited to announce my commitment to further my education and hockey career at the University of Alaska Anchorage. I'd like to thank my family, friends, coaches, and everyone that has helped me get to this point #goseawolves
