Registration NOW for Next Saturday's Coaches Clinic

New York Met Joe McEwing and former BlueClaws Manager Jeff Manto will head up instruction at the second annual Lakewood BlueClaws Coaches Clinic on Saturday January 31st at FirstEnergy Park. Last year's event sold out. The clinic is designed for all area baseball coaches, from little league to high school levels, and will include instruction in hitting, pitching, fielding, base running and fitness/game preparation strategies. For those who attended last year's event, the 2004 clinic will include new content.

Kick Off for Relay For Life

The Lakewood BlueClaws will be hosting the 2004 American Cancer Society Lakewood Relay for Life Kick Off Party at FirstEnergy Park on Tuesday, January 27th from 7-9 pm in the BlueClaws Executive Conference Center. The two previous Relays at FirstEnergy Park have combine to raise close to $75,000.00. Anyone interested in the participating in the event and finding out what Relay For Life is all about, are welcome to attend.

Lace 'em Up! 3-on-3 Basketball Tourney

The BlueClaws and Ocean County YMCA are teaming up to offer basketball fans of all ages the chance to compete in the area's first-ever Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament. The event will be held at FirstEnergy Park April 24th and 25th. Presenting sponsors will be: the Asbury Park Press, 105.7 the Hawk, Clayton Block, Larson Ford and The Main Court.
