
Young Called-Up to ECHL Elmira

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced that defenseman Ian Young has been called up to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. There is no timetable for his return.
Young, 23, is in his first professional season with the RiverKings. The 6-foot-1, 194-pound native of Red Deer, Alberta has appeared in 23 games for the team this season, posting 11 assists and a plus/minus rating of +3. Young is the second RiverKings defenseman called up to the ECHL in the past month, following Reid Campbell's early-December call-up to ECHL Greenville.
The RiverKings return to Concorde Career College Ice at the Landers Center on Friday, January 15 as they look to Pack the House for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, presented by Belhaven University. All tickets are discounted $5 anywhere in the building and are available at the Landers Center box office or on Ticketmaster.
