Sudbury Five News Release

The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario, together with the Sudbury Five and broader organization, SW Sports and Entertainment (SWSE) is thrilled to announce a new comprehensive community partnership. This partnership demonstrates an intent by both the YMCA, SWSE, and the Sudbury FIVE to support the SWSE family of teams, while providing opportunities for the YMCA to better deliver its multi-faceted programs and services to the community.

The YMCA is a charity dedicated to providing opportunities for everyone in the community to experience personal growth in spirit, mind and body. A partnership with SWSE will help the YMCA extend its reach through collaboration and promotions, philanthropic efforts, and program offerings in Employment & Immigrant Services in addition to Health and Fitness. "The partnership speaks to our core values of health, inclusiveness and responsibility and can really make a difference in our community. This is an excellent opportunity to engage our staff, volunteers, members and youth in our communities in support of the Sudbury FIVE Basketball team as we continue to extend our reach in Northeastern Ontario." said Alex McCauley, Board Chair for the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario.

"Partnerships are some of the most powerful tools we have in business and sport", said Dario Zulich, Owner and Governor of the Sudbury Five. "At our root is the community we represent when we travel around the country. We look forward to carrying our Sudbury values to other communities as we compete and work hard in pursuit of a championship starting with the opening tip off on November 22nd ."
