OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (6-5) remained at #12 in this weeks af2 Coaches Poll for the third consecutive week. Last week, the Dawgz defeated the Milwaukee Iron (4-7), 63-28, and got their second straight win over a team fighting for a playoff spot. Oklahoma City's defense continued to improve after a midseason swoon building momentum for a playoff push.

The Dawgz defense came up huge forcing 10 stops and seven turnovers while holding the Iron offense to only 138 total yards. DB Fred Shaw was named the Aaron's Defensive Player of the Game after leading the team with four tackles, three pass deflections and three interceptions, tying a Yard Dawgz single game record for picks. In his effort he became the Yard Dawgz all-time leader in career interceptions (11) and sets the mark for single season interceptions with seven.
The Dawgz front five put pressure on Iron QB Todd Hammel, sacking him seven times and forcing three fumbles. The defensive front was led by DE Colin Bryant, who had three sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Oklahoma City's all-time sack leader, DE Aaron Chavers, also contributed with two solo tackles, one sack and a forced fumble. The Iron offense was held scoreless for the last 27 minutes of the game.
