Yard Dawgz Helping Oklahoma's Children

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (3-0) have teamed up with Children's Miracle Network to help Oklahoma's children by hosting the first ever CMN Night during their home game against the Rio Grande Valley Dorados (2-1) on Friday, May 1 at the Cox Convention Center.

The 2009 Oklahoma Champion Child, Jacob Stoepker, will be present for the coin toss in addition to being announced in the Yard Dawgz starting line up with players as they prepare to face the visiting Doradoss.

"We are very excited to partner with Children's Miracle Network this season," said Christie Cook, General Manager of the Yard Dawgz. "Our goals for the partnership are to assist in the generation of additional funds, while at the same time, helping create greater awareness in regards to the work of those associated with Children's Miracle Network in the areas of the care of sick children, medical research and educational initiatives."

Discount tickets can be purchased at various credit unions in the OKC metro. The discounted tickets range from $8 to $22 and a portion of the funds will go to benefit Children's Miracle Network.

Children's Miracle Network works alongside Children's Medical Research Institute to help fund pediatric research, education and clinical care for Oklahoma's children. No child is ever turned away for inability to pay and 100 percent of all funds raised stay in Oklahoma for our kids.
