Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release
Saturday, April 12th, the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz travel to Lubbock to take on the Renegades for the team's first road game of the season.
The Dawgz and Renegades are both 1-0 on the season and each are looking for their 2nd Central Division win. The Dawgz and Renegades were both hoping for playoff qualification during the last meeting between the teams (7/28/07). Despite a 69-76 loss, the Yard Dawgz advanced to post-season play for the fourth consecutive season.
The Dawgz impressed in their first game of 2008 with a decisive win over the Arkansas Twister, 57-42. During the contest veteran Yard Dawg Al Hunt scored 6 times and was awarded the Schutt Offensive Player of the Week by the af2 league office.
