Florida Firecats Remain Fourth in Week Three Coaches Poll

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats received 335 points to finish fourth in the Week Two Coaches Poll, the arenafootball2 (af2) league office announced today. The Firecats finished fourth for a second straight week after opening the season with an impressive 56-14 win over the Texas Copperheads last Sunday in Houston.

By securing 439 out of a possible 448 points, the defending ArenaCup champion Tulsa Talons maintained the top spot in the poll. The Talons continued their strong start to the 2008 season with a convincing 65-28 home win last Saturday over Boise. The Spokane Shock maintained their number two spot after routing Stockton 70-12. Louisville jumped into the top five this week at number three after a 50-43 road win at South Georgia. Florida and Rio Grande Valley rounded out the top five.

Each week during the season, af2 coaches vote for the Top 16 teams in the league by ranking them one through 16. The complete Top 16 is listed below. The number in parentheses indicates the number of first place votes the team received.
