OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (4-1) dropped to #4 this week in the latest af2 coaches poll. The Yard Dawgz fell two spots after losing their first game of the season to the tenth ranked Rio Grande Valley Dorados, 73-74. This week the Dawgz square off against in-state and Central Division archrival Tulsa Talons (5-1).

Last week against Rio Grande Valley the Yard Dawgz put up over 70 points for the third time this season, solidifying Coach McEwen's juggernaut offense as the best in the league, leading the af2 in scoring (66.4 ppg), total offense (345.2 ypg), and rushing (55.2 ypg). The Dawgz also boast the league's fourth best passing offense (290.0 ypg) and points scored kicking (8.8 ppg). In the red zone, the Dawgz convert 84% of the time, sixth best in af2. The Dawgz are also third in the league in field goal percentage (75%).
This weekends matchup against third ranked Tulsa looks to be the Dawgz toughest test to date. The Talons have the best pass offense in af2 (313.3 ypg) and leagues third best scoring offense (63.3 ppg) and total offense (325.0 ypg). On the opposite side of the ball, Tulsa also has the third best total defense (223.8 ypg allowed) and pass defense (207.3 ypg allowed) in the league.
