
Dusters with pair of public appearances this weekend

Amarillo, TX 5/7/09 - The Amarillo Dusters of the af2 will be out in the community this weekend, as players will make a pair of appearances in the Texas Panhandle on Friday and Saturday.
First, on Friday, Dusters players will take a trip to Bushland, Texas, where they will meet with children at Bushland Elementary School's annual Junior Career Buffet. The appearance, which will last from 8:30 AM until 11:30 AM, will give players a chance to speak with children about the life of a professional athlete and the careers professional sports offer. In addition, Gorillas' forward Austin Sutter will also be on hand to speak with the students.
On Saturday, the Dusters will be out in full force at the Amarillo Corporate Sprint Store, located just off Soncy in the Westgate Mall complex. From 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, players and the Duster Darlins' will be on hand to sign autographs and meet with fans.

The Dusters will be in action Monday night (May 11), as they take on the Rio Grande Valley Dorados in Hidalgo, Texas. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM, as coverage of the game will be carried on KPUR 107.1-FM and online via af2TV.
THE AMARILLO DUSTERS are a member of the arenafootball2 league. The team front office is now located at 901 S. Buchanan in downtown Amarillo. Season ticket packages for 2009 are available by calling (806) 350-PASS (7277), and start at just $96 a seat.
