Corpus Christi Sharks News Release

Your Corpus Christi Sharks return home to the American Bank Center this Saturday Night, May 9th, to take on the defending af2 champion Tennessee Valley Vipers marking the team's first home game in nearly a month.

Saturday night's game has been designated as the Sharks 3rd Annual Ladies Night with an emphasis on raising breast cancer awareness. The game ispresented by Radiology Associates, Planet 102.3, Coastal Bend Surgery Center, and Quantum Kopies. Keeping with tradition, Sharks players will participate in raising Breast Cancer Awareness by wearing a special pink jersey during the game and play with special footballs highlighted with pink.

Following the game, the jerseys will be autographed and auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the Breast & Cervical Cancer Clinics of South Texas Family Planning and Health Corporation - a non-profit organization that provides screening and treatment services, as well as case management, to women and families that may otherwise not be able to afford it. Additionally, a portion of ticket proceeds will also be donated to this charity.

"Our mission for Ladies Night is simple; to use our high profile status as a professional sports franchise to raise awareness of breast cancer in the Coastal Bend and to raise money for local organizations that support this cause", said Sharks Vice President and General Manager Larry Linde. "I know first-hand the tragic consequences of this disease as well as the benefits of early detection. This year we have selected a wonderful charity that helps women with both early detection and treatment options, which is key to long term survival".

The Sharks will also be offering the popular Family 4 Pack again - fans can purchase 4 tickets for only $32 "" as well as a special all-u-can-eat section in the lower level for just $12 (kids) and $18 (adults).
