Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release

Oklahoma City, OK – The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz announce they have been assigned OL/DL BILL CLAPPER by the arenafootball2 league office.

Clapper (6-5, 295, Southern Nazarene) played for the Tulsa Talons of the af2 in the 2003 season. The Oklahoma City native was selected as a NAIA All-American at Southern Nazarene in 2002. Clapper helped the Talons to their first ever ArenaCup championship in 2003.

"Bill was a big part of the Talons championship success and we are happy to have him here," Yard Dawgz Coach Gary Reasons said. "He adds a dimension of toughness that I like in an OL/DL and we look forward to having him a part of this team."

This will be Clapper's second season in the af2 after a very successful rookie season. Dawgz General Manager Ben Buckland recalls his impact for the Talons.

"I watched him in Tulsa last year as a raw rookie and he finished up as one of their most valuable players," said Buckland.

Clapper and his wife, Julia, are expecting their first child right before the Yard Dawgz kick-off their inaugural season in April.

Season tickets are still available, but they are going fast! For more information call 228-DAWG or visit our website at www.okcyarddawgz.com.
