SYRACUSE (NY) - The Syracuse Chiefs lost to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, at Dunedin, FL, in spring training action 7-3 today.
Ricky Romero got roughed up, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, 2 of those were homeruns. David Smith led the Chiefs, at the plate, going 2 for 4.
The Chiefs play again tomorrow, against the Yankees in Tampa, FL.
The Chiefs open the 2008 season on Thursday, April 3 against the Louisville Bats, at Alliance Bank Stadium at 2:00 PM.
