
Big Inning Lifts Tribe To 6-5 Win Over Pawtucket

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Center fielder James Boone lined an RBI single to score designated hitter Jonel Pacheco in the top of the eighth and Indianapolis hung on for a 6-5 win over Pawtucket Monday afternoon at the Red Sox Minor League Complex.
Boone finished 2-for-3 with a walk, while Pacheco reached base in all three plate appearances and scored a pair of runs.
Indianapolis RHP Jesse Chavez (2.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 SO) notched the win, while RHP Romulo Sanchez (2.0 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 SO) registered a save. Pawtucket RHP Barry Hertzler (1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB) was pinned with the loss.
The Indians scored five times in the sixth inning. 2B Shelby Ford and 1B Jason Delaney drilled RBI singles before RF Jorge Cortes smacked a two-run triple to tie the contest. C Milver Reyes then brought Cortes plateward on a groundout.
