Tampa, FL - The Marauders (8-2) were held off the scoreboard until the eighth inning by the Tampa Yankees (6-4) in a 3-1 loss on Friday night at Steinbrenner Field. LHP Taylor Hearn (L, 1-1) struck out seven over six innings. 2013 Yankees first round pick Ian Clarkin limited Bradenton to two hits over six innings while striking out eight. SS Cole Tucker got the Marauders on the board in the eighth with an RBI double off Jose Pena, but former Marauder Colten Brewer converted a four-out save to seal the game for Tampa. Trey Amburgey launched a two-run home run for the Yankees in the sixth inning. 1B Danny Arribas paced the Marauders with two hits and a walk.
