
Yamamoto to Disabled List; Pena to Jacksonville

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a pair of transactions that impact their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp roster prior to tonight's game against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at Blue Wahoos Stadium at 7:35 p.m. eastern.
Right-handed starting pitcher Jordan Yamamoto has been transferred to Jacksonville's disabled list, retroactive to July 15. Yamamoto is 1-0 with a 3.27 ERA in his two starts for the Jumbo Shrimp this month.
In a corresponding move, right-handed relief pitcher Jose Pena has been transferred from Triple-A New Orleans to Jacksonville. Pena had no wins or losses and a 1.08 ERA in his five relief outings for the Baby Cakes. Pena spent the first half of the season with Jacksonville, going 1-2 with a 3.45 ERA in his 23 relief outings for the Jumbo Shrimp.
The Jumbo Shrimp roster stands at 25 active players, and a revised roster is attached.
The Jumbo Shrimp will open a five-game series in Pensacola at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday. The Jumbo Shrimp return home to face Montgomery on Monday, July 23, at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. for VyStar Credit Union Charity Begins at Home with Mission House raising funds through ticket sales and the Launch-A-Ball promotion.
