Detroit Ignition News Release

(Newark, NJ - April 5, 2009) - The XSL Champion Detroit Ignition (12-8) dropped their last game of the season this afternoon to the New Jersey Ironmen (11-9). The Ignition were without leading scorer Ryan Mack, who was unable to make the trip due to a knee injury.

Tiguinho got the Ironmen out to an early 2-0 lead just three minutes into the opening frame - a lead New Jersey would never relinquish. The Ignition were down just one-point for most of the fourth quarter, but Tiguinho put the game out of reach at 14:51 when he put his second two-pointer of the afternoon past Detroit's sixth attacker, Josh Rife.

The Detroit Ignition is a charter member of the Xtreme Soccer League, and began the team's third season in December 2008 after completing the 2007-08 season as regular-season champions of the Major Indoor Soccer League.
