X's Add Another Player with MLB Experience to Roster

SIOUX CITY, IA - For the second time in the last week, the Sioux City Explorers have signed another player with experience at the Major League Level. This time it's OF TJ Bohn, whom reached the Major League Level with the Seattle Mariners in 2006 and the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008, while spending extensive time at the AA and AAA level.

Bohn started the 2003 season with the Mariners Midwest League team in Wisconsin where he accumulated (31) doubles, (13) homeruns, while stealing (16) bases to go along with a .272 batting average. In 2004, Bohn split time between the Mariners High A team (Inland Empire) and the Mariners AA team in San Antonio, TX. For the season, he collected (18) doubles, (7) triples, (14) home runs while driving in (66) RBI's to go along with a combined .274 batting average. Bohn began the 2005 season with the club's AA in San Antonio and clubbed (30) doubles, (12) Homeruns, (57) RBI's, while swiping (27) bases to go along with a .308 batting average. Bohn was option to AAA to finish the 2005 season where he accumulated a .321 batting average.

In 2006, Bohn started the season Pacific Coast League (AAA - Tacoma). In (97) games, Bohn combined to hit (20) doubles, (1) triple, (9) home runs while collecting (43) RBI's to go along with a .283 batting average. For his efforts he was promoted to the major league level for the final (18) games of the 2006 season.

Bohn spent the 2007 season in the Atlanta Braves organization (A, AA, AAA) and spent the 2008 season a member of the Philadelphia Phillies organization, while spending (97) games at Lehigh Valley (with new X's teammate, Joe Bisenius) where he collected (19) doubles, (4) homeruns to go along with (27) RBI's. Bohn was promoted to the Phillies MLB roster for the final (14) games of the season. TJ sat out the 2009 season to finish his college degree.

"Signing TJ is a big plus for us with his experience at the AA, AAA and MLB level," comments field manager Les Lancaster. He add's another big bat to the middle of our order and is a very good defensive outfielder."

Bohn resides in St. Louis Park, MN and attended Bellevue University (NE) and Hutchinson Community College. TJ was drafted in the 30th round of the 2002 Amateur Draft by the Mariners.
