Xplosion to open training camp November 14

PITTSBURGH, November 13, 2006 - The Pittsburgh Xplosion professional basketball team will open training camp for the 2006-07 season on Tuesday, November 14 at Club 4 Life in Monroeville, Pa. Former West Virginia University All-American Kevin Pittsnogle, Duquesne University standout Bryant McAllister, University of Pittsburgh star Jaron Brown and 13-year NBA veteran Armon Gilliam headline a group of 18 players vying to make the Continental Basketball Association club's final roster. The team must trim the list of candidates down to 10 players by November 28.
Practices at the Club 4 Life are open to the public. General practice times will be daily from 10:00 AM to noon with periodic evening sessions. Practice times and locations are subject to change without notice. Media members are invited to attend all practice sessions. Individual players and coaches will typically be available following the morning practice session and prior to the evening session. The Xplosion opens its 2006-07 CBA schedule at Albany on December 1 and plays its home opener versus the Indiana AlleyCats at Mellon Arena on Wednesday, December 6 at 7:05 PM. Season ticket packages start at $150. Call the Xplosion ticket office at (877) 410-9900 for more information.
