
Skyrockets Sign Three New Players

Minot, ND - November 13, 2006 - The Minot Skyrockets office announces the signing of three new players who will be brought into training camp to compete for roster spots.
The Skyrockets have signed Dajan Smith, a 6' 8"/225 lb. Power Forward from Lynn University. Dajan has previous professional experience with the Gleneagle Lakers in Ireland; he also played professionally in Colombia. In 2005, Dajan also played with the Southern Crescent Lightning of the WBA, averaging 9.71 ppg with a shooting percentage of 61.2%.
The second signing is Mark Konecny, a 6' 11"/230 lb. Center from Syracuse University. Mark was High School Player of the Year from Connecticut. This year, he declared early-entry for the 2006 NBA Draft.
Also signed to a contract is Darnell Hopkins, a 6' 2"/185 lb. Guard from Murray State. He averaged 9.5 ppg during his two seasons at Murray State.
The Skyrockets will begin practicing on Friday, and the season opens on the road against Utah. The home opener is set for Sunday, December 3rd with tip-off at 4:05 pm. The Skyrockets will be playing a double-header on Sunday and Monday against the Indiana Alley Cats.
Season tickets and mini-plans are still available for the 2006-2007 season. Season tickets can be purchased for general admission, silver, gold, and floor seats, and season ticket holders have the opportunity to pick their seats on a first-come, first-serve basis. Seats are filling up quickly so please come by the Skyrockets office located in the lower level of the Minot Municipal Auditorium. Fans who would like a mini-plan can choose from the Sweet 16, CBA Triple-Double, or the Winter Survival Pack. Details on mini-plans can be obtained by calling 839-SLAM.
