Pittsburgh Xplosion News Release

PITTSBURGH, November 27, 2007 - The Pittsburgh Xplosion come into tonight's game at Yakama on a three-game win streak. Needless to say, tonight's game at the home of the defending champion and undefeated Sun Kings could be labeled as the biggest in the Xplosion's two-year CBA history.

"We are going to Yakama not just to compete," Xplosion head coach Carlos Knox said. "We are going there to get them."

The Xplosion will have their work cut out for them with the Sun Kings. Yakama is 6-0 and has won 40 of a possible 42 quarter points.

The Xplosion's most pleasant surprises this season have been a couple of former Pitt Panthers. Guard Antonio Graves has led the Xplosion in scoring in the past two games and three of the past four, averaging 18 points-per-game for the season.

Forward John DeGroat is averaging 14 points and 8.2 rebounds in six games, including a 15 point, 15 rebound, and five steal game against Rio Grande Valley Sunday night.

Combine those two with former CBA All-Stars Shaun Fountain, Odell Bradley, and Albert White, and the Xplosion have a revamped lineup that could give the Sun Kings trouble in this two-game series that continues Friday night at the Yakima Valley SunDome.

The Xplosion return home next Monday when they host the Albany Patroons at the Petersen Events Center at 7:05 PM. For more information, visit www.pittsburghxplosion.com.
