
Xplorers to Hold Open Tryout on February 5th

Southaven, MS-The Memphis Xplorers of the af2 have announced an open tryout to take place on February 5th between 12:00pm and 4:00pm at the Southaven Park and Recreation Center located at 3335 Pine Tar Alley.
Registration fees for the tryout are $50 for walk-ins and $35 for pre-registration. Athletes wishing to tryout for the 2005 Xplorers football team need to bring athletic apparel, including indoor shoes, shorts and a shirt.
"We are looking for talented football players at all positions," stated Xplorers Head Coach Danton Barto. "I would encourage anyone and everyone to come to the tryout."
Memphis has also announced a new development for this tryout. "I guarantee that at least one person from this tryout will be invited to training camp in mid March," stated Barto. This is first time in Xplorers history that they have guaranteed that a participant from a tryout would be invited to camp. Training camp will begin in the third week in March and take place at the Pyramid Arena in Memphis.
All tryout members will receive an Xplorers tryout t-shirt complementary of the Memphis Xplorers.
