ROSTER CONTINUES TO GROW... The Fire was assigned Ryan Russell today as an offensive specialist for the 2005 season. Russell was limited to just five games in 2004 due to injury, but put up impressive numbers in that short period. He had 10 catches for 209 yards and five touchdowns, rushed for one touchdown and returned the opening kickoff of 2004 for a touchdown. ST. X/ TRINITY HOOPS... Once again the Fire will be sponsoring the St. X/Trinity Basketball Classic in Freedom Hall. The freshman, JV and varsity will all play this Friday starting at 4:30. Tickets will be available at both schools. The Wildfires will be performing and AXE will be there providing entertainment.
IT'S ALMOST TIME... The AFL will be kicking-off their season on Friday night. The AFL on NBC returns Sunday with a doubleheader starting at noon. The first game of the doubleheader on WAVE-3 will be the Colorado Crush at the Orlando Predators. The Chicago Rush will visit the Dallas Desperados at 3:00 P.M. Fire fans will see a familiar face on the Desperados line in former Fire lineman Jason Ferguson. Check your inbox on Friday for a detailed release on all the former Fire players in the AFL.

DRAFT DAY IS UPON US... The 2005 af2 International Player Draft will take place on February 3rd and once again the Fire will be participating. Last season the Fire drafted the 2004 af2 International Player of the Year Takuya Furutani. As soon as the draft results are released it will be posted on www.louisvillefirefootball.com.
REVAMPED SITE... The af2 has recently launched the new and improved www.af2.com. The new site features new team pages and customized news.
