Xplorers dance team tryouts to be held March 6

The Memphis Xplorers of the af2 are pleased to announce that tryouts for Team Xplosion, the Xplorers' dance team, will be held on Saturday March 6th at 6:00 pm at South Beach Night Club in Memphis.
This year marks the fourth year of existence for Team Xplosion. Team coordinator Adrienne Germano hopes that the upcoming season will be a great experience for all team members.
"I want our girls to be proud of being a part of Team Xplosion," said Germano. "Being a Team Xplosion dancer gives you a chance to do more than just dance professionally. It also gives you a chance to make a difference in the community."
As one of only three dance teams for professional sports teams in the Greater Memphis area, Team Xplosion members will perform at all eight home games for the Xplorers. Germano said that attitude will be just as important as ability when it comes to filling out this year's squad.
"I want the girls on this team to have great personalities as well as some dance ability," said Germano. "The girls who are outgoing and show up ready and willing to put on a show always score well in tryouts."
Team Xplosion tryouts are open to all female applicants 18 years of age or older. Identification must be provided to prove age. Applicants must provide a head shot and a full body shot, and must come with a prepared 30 second routine. Music for the routine must be provided and cued up to the appropriate song. Also, applicants must come with stage make-up and their hair done, and attired in spandex shorts and sports bra.
Tryouts will begin promptly at 6:00 pm, and applicants are urged to show up early. A $15 tryout fee will be charged for all applicants. For more information, contact team coordinator Adrienne Germano at 662-342-1755, extension 2153.
