Waterloo Black Hawks News Release

Waterloo, Iowa - Waterloo Black Hawks defenseman Cooper Wylie was named to the roster of players chosen to participate during the 2021 BioSteel All-American Game Thursday.

The event for 2021 NHL Draft prospects is scheduled for Wednesday, April 7th at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. Wylie is part of a team of American players from the United States Hockey League who will take on USA Hockey's National Team Development Program Under-18 squad. The highly-scouted event was first played in this format last season.

Wylie has been on the ice for 37 of the Black Hawks' 38 games during his first season in Waterloo. He has two goals and 11 assists for 13 points and leads Hawks defensemen with a +2 plus/minus differential. More than half of Wylie's points - including both goals - have been scored in power play situations.

The 19-year-old native of Stillwater, Minnesota, is committed to St. Cloud State University.

Wylie and the Black Hawks visit the Tri-City Storm this evening at 7:05 p.m.
