Wranglers Take Division Lead with 4-1 Win in Bakersfield

Las Vegas, Nev. - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Bakersfield Condors 4-1 in California tonight, putting Las Vegas in first place in the ECHL's Pacific division.

Only 1:19 into the first period, Wranglers forward Robbie Smith tallied the first goal of the night and put Las Vegas on the board 1-0. Bakersfield was quick to respond, and Condors center Matthew Sisca knotted the game 1-1 with assists from defenseman Joe Loprieno and forward Peter Boyd at the 3:36 mark.

In the second period, Las Vegas forward Judd Blackwater notched what would become the game-winning goal at 11:40. Wranglers forward Eric Lampe, who last night broke two Las Vegas all-time records with four goals and six points in a game, recorded his 10th goal of the season with assists from left wing Ned Lukacevic and center Peter MacArthur at 3:16 in the third period, putting the Wranglers up 3-1. Five minutes later, at 8:32, Adam Miller brought tonight's final score to 4-1 with Lukacevic and center Adam Miller on the assists.

With tonight's win, Las Vegas overtakes the Condors for the lead in the Pacific division of the Western conference in the ECHL. Lampe now also leads the ECHL in scoring with 13 points (10 goals, 3 assists) in eight games. The Wranglers will play the Idaho Steelheads for the first time this season in a three-game road series starting Wednesday, Nov. 2. Tonight's full box score can be found here .
