
Worlds Largest Triple A Baseball Jersey Tours the Country and Stops in Kinston August 28th

Kinston, NC- World's Largest Triple A Baseball Jersey, dedicated to fighting ALS, will tour the country and stop in Kinston, N.C. as the Kinston Indians take on the Wilmington Blue Rocks, Aug. 28.
In Triple A parks across the country, fans are being given the opportunity to raise funds that support the work of The ALS Association by signing on to the World's largest Triple A Jersey. The jersey â 15' high and 22' across â features the Triple A All-Star logo on the front left breast, the Triple A logo on a sleeve and the ALS Association logo on the other sleeve. Across the back are the words "Strike out Lou Gehrig's disease."
Players from both the Kinston Indians and the Wilmington Blue Rocks will be invited to "sign on" prior to the beginning of the game, Aug. 28. Fans attending the game will the have the opportunity to donate $1 per signature and sign their name along side other fans and players from across the country.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease that occurs when motor nerve cells cease to function and die. While a person's mind remains sharp and alert, muscle control become completely lost. Every 90 minutes, another person is diagnosed with ALS. For more information about ALS, www.catfishchapter.org
The Jim "Catfish" Hunter Chapter is one of 38 chapters of The ALS Association, the only national not-for-profit voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS, through research, patient support, information dissemination and public awareness.
