
Worcester Sharks Hire Worcester Native Matt Catacchio

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced that the club has hired Matt Catacchio as the Administrative/Event Coordinator.
Catacchio spent nine months as an intern with the Worcester Sharks before being hired. As Administrative/Event Coordinator, he will be working closely with all departments, including: community relations, sales, game operations and special events. This position will oversee and coordinate daily working schedules and be involved in the recruitment of interns.
"Matt was an exceptional intern and he deserves this great opportunity," said Lehr. "The Sharks are thrilled to have him join our family full time as we prepare for this All-Star season in Worcester.
The 23-year-old Worcester native, graduated from Bentley College in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Business Management. Prior to his internship he was employed at Gillette Stadium as game day staff and ticket sales. Catacchio joined the Worcester Sharks as an intern in September of 2007.
"I am very excited with the opportunity to work full time with the Worcester Sharks to start my career in sports management," said Catacchio. "The Sharks have a great staff and I am proud to be a part of the team."
A graduate from St. Peter Marian High School in Worcester, he enjoys playing both lacrosse and golf. Catacchio currently resides in Worcester.
