
Woollard Returned to Mallards

Moline, IL-The Quad City Mallards today announced that forward Chad Woollard has been returned to the Mallards following a two-game stint with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. Upon his return, Woollard was placed on team suspension to allow him to return home to attend to a family matter. He is expected to rejoin the team following this weekend's games.
Woollard's stint with San Antonio marked the third AHL call-up of his professional career. On Tuesday night, Woollard was part of a 3-2 Rampage win over Iowa. Wednesday night, Peoria beat San Antonio 3-1 in Peoria. Woollard was held scoreless in both games.
Woollard joined the Mallards in the fall of 2005 following a trade with the Rockford IceHogs. He led the 2005-06 Mallards team in goals (44) and points (76). This season, Woollard ranks second on the Mallards roster with 53 points (23 goals and 30 assists). He is tied for eighth in UHL scoring. The Durham, Ontario native represented the Mallards at both the 2006 and 2007 UHL All-Star Classic. At this season's All-Star Game, he led the Western Conference in scoring with five points on two goals and three assists.
