
Woodchucks Take Thursday's Affair

Ashwaubenon, Wis. - The Woodchucks defeated the Rockers in Ashwaubenon Thursday night.
The Woodchucks started the scoring off in the first with two in. The first came on an error and the second on a groundout.
Green Bay responded to take a 3-2 lead. Collier Cranford had an RBI groundout, then Matt Scannell hit a two-run home run to cap it off.
The Woodchucks hit two solo home runs to reclaim the lead in the fourth. Zach Levenson and Collin Reuter each hit a solo shot.
Owen Jackson hit a two-run home run to make it a 5-4 Rockers lead in the bottom of the fifth.
In the seventh, the Woodchucks scored three runs on four hits, capped off by a two-run homer by Mark Shallenberger.
Tristin Garcia cut the lead to one in the seventh, when he hit his second home run of the year over the wall in right.
The Woodchucks scored twice in the eighth. Shallenberger had another RBI in the frame.
In the ninth, Ryan Sepede hit his third home run of the season to left to make the Woodchuck lead 11-6.
Green Bay looks to turn the page Friday as they host the Madison Mallards for the second time this year.
Chris Sleeper is set to pitch for Green Bay, and Beau Nichols will throw for Madison. First pitch from Ashwaubenon is set for 6:35 p.m.
