
Woodchucks Fall in High Scoring Affair

Wausau Woodchucks News Release
Wausau, WIS - The Woodchucks were right in the game until the sixth inning but the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters hitters came through with four runs in the top of the 6th inning highlighted by a bases clearing double from Steven Rivas, which put them up 8-3 and eventually held on for the 8-4 win.
The Chucks did not have any trouble scoring runs on the board in the early innings scoring three runs in the first three. Woodchucks third basemen Tommy Duddleston had a big night offensively with three hits including an RBI double. Chucks second basemen Peter Ahn also had a nice night at the plate with his first two hits as a Woodchuck. Relief pitcher Jordan Walden also had a strong outing with two scoreless innings but the Woodchucks still fell 8-4
The Woodchucks head out on the road for a one game trip to Wisconsin Rapids as they head on the road for the first time to face these same Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. The Chucks will be back at home at Athletic Park on Saturday, June 2nd as they host the Kenosha Kingfish. First Pitch is scheduled for 6:35 PM.
