Bennett and Bucks Walk off Honkers, 5-4

With the score tied at 4 with Rochester (1-2), Waterloo Bucks (1-2) pinch hitter Andy Bennett drove in Trey Leonard with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 9th to give the club their first victory of 2018.

The Bucks bullpen was dominant for a second straight night, led by Brady Corson's 3 shutout innings while allowing just one hit and one walk. Corson earned the win on the bump, improving to 1-0 on the season.

Kaden Polcovich had a monster day at the dish for Waterloo, reaching in 3 of his 4 plate appearances with a pair of walks and a bases clearing double. Polcovich accounted for the Bucks' first 4 runs, driving in 3 in the third and scoring a run in the 5th after stealing a base. Skyler Messinger had a 2-4 day at the plate, reaching in his final 4 plate appearances.

The Bucks return to action on Friday, June 1, at 6:30 p.m. in Rochester.
