Woodchucks Celebrate Twenty Years

(Wausau) - 2013 is a big year for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. Not only will the stadium be undergoing a major renovation when the season ends; come May 29th, the team will begin its 20th season as a franchise in the Northwoods League.
With teams in Wausau, Kenosha and Manitowoc, Wisconsin; Dubuque, Iowa; and Rochester, Minnesota; the Woodchucks were one of the original five franchises in the Northwoods League when play opened in 1994. Twenty years later, the league has expanded to 16 teams in four states and two countries. To commemorate the last twenty years, this season, the Woodchucks will have special giveaways featuring the 20th anniversary logo.
The Woodchucks would also like to announce that single-game tickets for the 2013 season will go on sale Tuesday April 30th at 10am. Over the next week, the Woodchucks will be highlighting part of their 2013 promotional schedule by releasing the dates of some of the exciting promotions that are happening this season. This will give fans an early opportunity to buy tickets for some of their favorite promotional nights before the season starts. The Woodchucks season begins May 29th at Athletic Park when the Green Bay Bullfrogs come to town. First pitch is at 6:35pm. Season tickets, 7-game packs, luxury suites and group outing packages are on sale now. To book yours or get more information, call the Woodchucks office at (715) 845-5055.
