Wolves Re-Sign Calder Cup Champion Anderson

The Chicago Wolves have re-signed center MATT ANDERSON, a member of the 2008 Calder Cup Championship team.
The 25-year-old forward notched two points (G, A) and four penalty minutes in 11 Calder Cup Playoff games en route to helping Chicago capture its fourth league title this spring. He also collected three goals and five points in eight Kelly Cup Playoff matchups with the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators prior to being recalled by the Wolves following that team's elimination in the South Division Semifinals.
The West Islip, N.Y., native, split the 2007-08 season between the Wolves and Gladiators, accruing two points (G, A) in 14 games with Chicago and 29 points (14G, 15A) in 37 games with Gwinnett.
ANDERSON made his professional debut during the Wolves run to the Western Conference Final in 2007 after being signed to an Amateur Tryout Contract. He appeared in 13 of the team's 15 postseason games, recording two points (G, A), which includes netting the game-winning goal in Game 2 of the West Division Semifinal against the Milwaukee Admirals, his first professional outing.
Prior to joining Chicago, he amassed 57 assists and 91 points in 128 career outings with the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (Hockey East), spanning four seasons (2002-03; 2004-07).
In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
