Wolves Bring Back Anderson

The Chicago Wolves have recalled center MATT ANDERSON from the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators.

ANDERSON recorded three goals and five points in eight Kelly Cup Playoff games with Gwinnett before the team was eliminated by the South Carolina Stingrays, 3-games-to-2, in the South Division Semifinals. The 25-year-old forward also collected 39 points (14G, 15A) in 37 regular-season games with the Gladiators during his first full professional season this year. He also appeared in 14 American Hockey League contests with Chicago, notching two points (G, A) and eight penalty minutes.

The West Islip, N.Y., native registered two points (G, A) and six penalty minutes in 13 Calder Cup playoff contests with the Wolves last year after being signed to an Amateur Tryout Contract on March 30, 2007.

Prior to joining the Wolves, ANDERSON notched nine goals, 19 points and 28 penalty minutes in 36 outings during his senior year at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (Hockey East). Overall, ANDERSON amassed 57 assists and 90 points in 126 career outings with the Minutemen, spanning four seasons (2002-03; 2004-07).
