Phantoms To Give Away Clock At Game 6 On Saturday

April 25, 2008 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Adirondack Phantoms News Release

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Phantoms returned from Albany, NY today, just hours after wrapping up the longest game in American Hockey League history. Ryan Potulny scored in the fifth overtime at 12:39 AM to give the Phantoms a 3-2 win in Game 5 and a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series. The Phantoms now have a chance to wrap up the first-round affair Saturday afternoon when the teams play Game 6 at 1:05 PM.

The afternoon start time is a new one, established earlier this week to allow fans time to return home for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Flyers and the Montreal Canadiens.

One lucky fan at the Phantoms game on Saturday will win a commemorative clock depicting Potulny's historic goal, which came on Philadelphia's 101st shot of the game. The clock has been permanently set to 12:39, the time of day of Potulny's goal, and will be autographed by Potulny. The face of the clock denotes the key facts of the game, and the winner will have an opportunity to take a postgame photo with Potulny and the clock. The winner will be selected via a random drawing into which fans will be entered automatically when their tickets are scanned upon entering the building.

Game 7, if necessary, will be played at the Wachovia Center on Tuesday, April 29 at 7:05 PM. Tickets for Games 6 and 7 are available at the Wachovia Complex box office, online at ComcastTIX.com or phantomshockey.com, or by phone at 1-800-298-4200.
